Hi

You need to call up Advanced Session Properties. You do this either by pressing ctrl p, or going to options^metronome. In this dialouge you press the tempo tab and there you have it.

Thanks for your help in cool edit, i did exactly what you adviced me but nothing happened to the track, the tempo never changed, i even entered while the cursor was at the tempo tab but nothing changed, Please advice me further

We need more info. Are working in edit view or multitrack view? Are you working with loops, or is this a recorded track that you want to have play back at a faster or slower speed (without changing pitch, I assume)?

Please spell out with more specific information exactly where you are, and where you want to be.

Okay, its a recorded song that i have inserted to the cooledit multitrack view and i needed to change its speed and mix it down to the edit view and then burn it on a cd, but i have failed to do so

OK - That you'll have to do with the track in EDIT view. The command you want to use is STRETCH. That command operates with percentages, not tempo numbers, so you'll need to either calculate the percent pitch change you want, or experiment with it to get the speed you're looking for.

Zemlin has your answer there, what I will add is, you've got a preview button in the stretch dialogue use this while experimenting till you get what you want.

Until you get use to it, it can be a lot of trial and error.
