I hope someone can help me out with my problem with Cool Edit Pro. All I want to do is convert some of my audio cassettes to CD format.
I've got everything set up already the only problem I have is configuring cool edit to record the sound coming from my Hi-Fi system through the line in cable connected to my PC. Can someone please help me out here and tell me what to do
I haven't used my Cool Edit in a while but the last time I used it, it worked perfectly well and I could record with it.
Can someone please give me a step by step guide on how to configure it so I can just record the sound coming from my Hi-Fi system.
Cheers

there should really be nothing to it. get a 1/4" male to stereo
there should really be nothing to it. get a 1/4" male to stereo rca's on the other end (6 bucks at best buy/circuit city, etc). plug into the line in on your pc, use the rca's on the back of your hi-fi system (use a line out, maybe "tape out" if you got it, depends on your system), hit record, that should really be it. let us know if it works...
