Thanks for the kind words. I'm a huge fan of the ban, so it's really good to see them do so well.
anyway... as for mics, we used a Rode Classic MkII for most of the tracking. Some tracks were cut with a U47 or C12, depending on what sound worked properly with the track. They were fed thru an SSL channel strip (Gor J depending on the console we were working on) to a Black Face 1176.

Not too sure what was done "post tracking" to so cold. It was mixed by Rich Costey, and he wasn't too keen on letting me know what he did. something about "proprietary information"... whatever.
I was lucky enought to attend the Andy Wallace mix for "follow you", which was a blast. I can't tell you all his secrets  but one thing's for sure. He doens't use any outboard gear at all. 99% of "his sound" is an SSL G+. The only outboard gear I saw him use were a few pcm42's, a 480L, and an AMS RMX 16. The vocal channel was totally SSL EQ and channel strip compressor for that song.
here's a link to my BB photo gallery. It won't be up for ever, but long enough to check out a few photos.
