a couple months ago i purchased a RODE nt1-a, and i just got around to buying the preamp for it today. i got the m-audio mobilepre usb. i have everything set up as it should be, but i dont know how to record anything.

the only program i have right now is fruity loops and a a demo version on Ableton live 4 that came with the preamp. so how can i record my voice into the microphone using one of these programs? I'm not looking to make a professional quality song, i just want to make sure it works. any suggestions?
