i see you recommend the 120gb WD 8md drive...
but the 80gb is crap... any comments on the 40gb and 60gb ones, the 120gb are heaps here down under!
seagate for os good, any version or all of them??

seagate 7200 ata 100 60gb for os ??
wd 60 8mb buffer ata 100 for music??

furs, the 60 and below are not JB models and do not have the 8MB cache on them...that is what makes the difference in the long run. The older WD drives...60GB and less do not use the same platter technology as the others and actually suffer in performance in comparison with a Seagate or Maxtor.
Any Seagate drive will do...they don't make too many ATA IDE choices! Go for a 40GB.

I found the p4pe at the same price as the PB533V.

Just ordered the build. Should be here before next weekend. It's 4 am and I need som sleep.

P4PE..already has SATA support, HT support, built on 1394, LAN and a great flexible rocking board. Also it "officially" supports DDR 333 at speeds of PC2700 to PC3500!!
