I'm looking for a headphone amp. I'd like to buy a kit I could build myself or at least find one with 4-6 outputs.
I dont need anything too fancy.
Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Plus there are lots of other hits on the WWW for kits.
My favorite headphone amp so far is the PreSonus HP4 for about $99.00 or the Benchmark DAC-1 for $999.99 plus they throw in a free Digital to Audio Converter

U need a headphone preamp if you want to monitor with headphones but u don't have a powered headphone out, like for instance if u're interface is an E-mu 0404 card.
I was wondering if anybody knows if the Behringer Ha400 Microamp is any good. I can't find any reviews. It's only $19.99.

I've been spending so much loot lately that I'm sick. I wanna go budget now and then upgrade later but if this thing really is trash I'll at least get an Art or a Rolls.
Thanks!

I built this one a while back. It was my intro into DIY. Sounds pretty good to me; lots of volume, doesn't distort or get scratchy. Although, I have never heard a thousand dollar headphone amp. I have heard a Fuhrman and wasn't impressed, but maybe it was defective. The paia was a pain in the butt to build in my experience, but I am not very good at all that tight wiring.
hey snake have a look at the behringer range of headphone amps.
hey snake have a look at the behringer range of headphone amps. I have the four channel version which is cheap and does the job very well.

Just go to the bottom of the page and the headphone amps will be there.
