Hi
I have a problem when I'm trying to get my guitar into Cubase...
To all out there with humour, I am talking about the sound, not the physical object... :)
However I am using "Behringer V Amp 2", "line out" (left and right) from it are connected to "line in" at the back of the computer. The Midi cables(in and out) are also connected between the "Behringer V Amp 2" and the computer.
I can hear the sound in the speakers of the computer but when I am trying in Cubase to get it in an audio channel nothing happens?
I want to see the guitar signal in the track (part) and record it but how will I do that ? I have drums, bass in Cubase and also now want to get my "Gibson SG" guitar in there... For mixing and recording...
Thank you very much for helping me...

I tried to record my guitar track and pushed that red button for recording but no signal or sound were recorded...? And the track was enable.
GavinMajesty: Bara bra tack...I hope you also are fine...You write good swedish, thank you...
I have only done some recording in Cubase from an old synthesizer (Midi) and it did function well and the drums and bass did I just get from the instruments in Cubase.
I am not so familiar in Cubase and maybe I have to check the inputs setup, can you please tell me how ?
How will Cubase know that the marked track (audio) will get the signal from "line in" (computer) ? Maybe I have to do some settings first ?
I can mention that for some time ago I did a recording in a track (audio) in Cubase but it was the microphone and there I could see the signal and here the sound...And that was from the microphone input in the computer not the "line in".
Thank you for helping me...

Anyway, i can't explain cubase in swedish.. hard enough in english, haha.
Right. Go to Devices on the top menu and select "Device setup" at the bottom.
Click on VST audiobay and see the selected device. I record through a Edirol UA25, so i selected that from the dropdown list on the right.
Then, it says "do you want to switch asio drivers?" hit "yes" or "switch", can't remember what it actually says but it's one of those two options.
Your device should become cubase's default input device.
Then go down and highlight VST inputs and make sure your soundcard's inputs are selected.
Back in cubase recording area now.
Select the track you want, click the W for write enable and then the red dot for recording.
When you record, you have the option to monitor via the little speaker icon. When you play back, if the icon is on, the track won't play back so ALWAYS unselect "Monitor" when you play back.
Hope this helps!
