You may want to look into the Purple Audio MC76 (1176LN) as opposed to the UA. Longer warenty better company, just a thought.

You're from Mogadore?!?! I grew up there!! How is it in Wildcat country?

I haven't used them together. I own an 1176 and while it sounds good on most things it isn't a first reach compressor for everything. I feel the same way about the ISA110 but it's probably more versatile then the 1176 is. Having said that I use my UA 1176 on lots of things but sometimes it really isn't the right choice.

Still green. The Wildcats were runners up in the state this year so they had a pretty good season. I actually don't live in the Town though.

An 1176 excells on what it is good at, and is usable on other things but not the greatest. I really prefer the 1176 on bass guitar, vocals, and overheads, and acoustic guitars...it's above average on percussion. A little can go a long way and the tone is excellent, especially when the attack is slow and the release it relatively fast. As Coldsnow said Purple Audio is the way to go when it comes to a consistent product, from an ethical company.
