When a movie is made, and there is an accompanying soundtrack of music, is this music produced differently than if it was strictly for audio release? Are there studios out there that specialize in working on music intended for film scores?

Its the last bastion of big studio rooms. Really amazing acoustics, ginormous track counts, consoles with 100 channels, not much in the way of fancy outboard....lots of computer power....look at the Skywalker Ranch site (I think its still there) Of course I'm referring to rooms that they do live orchestras in....
