We've just wrapped up our first CD recorded at home. It sounds OK through the studio monitors (perhaps a little bit thin), but when we mixdown to MP3, we get this:

It's thin and quite harsh. Specifically, sibilance in the vocals, inaudible acoustic guitars, and trashy cymbals. We're taking it to a mastering studio tomorrow; will they be able to handle this? We're also going to be mixing late tonight, is there any way to help correct this? Any advice?
