I just aquired an old AKG D-19 mic and I need a 5-pin XLR female to 3-pin XLR male cable. Anyone know where I can get one of these or have a used one they'd like to sell me? Thanks.

Odd. The only AKG D19-s I have seen had Tuchel connectors. They are dynamic mics, useful on drums I think. Personally I would simply solder the cable together myself. Think that is the best choice if you can find someone to solder together one for you. Not a clue though on the pinout of the 5pin XLR.

Are you sure it is 5 pin and not 7pin? This past summer I needed tha cable from my C-12 to the power supply, and at first glance I thought it was 5 pin, but the center is also a pin. Personally I wouldn't solder anything untill I had positive info from the manufacter as to what is needed.

This mic is a dynamic; it's commonly known as the Ringo Abbey Road overhead mic. So, it needs no power supply. It is 5-pin, and the base of the mic itself says "USA XLR-5" and "Cannon". I have another AKG that takes a 5-pin Tuchel, and it is different. I know what I need, I just need to find one somewhere, and I'd rather buy the cable than have to solder it myself because I'd have no idea how to solder a 5-pin.

This microphone seems to have the same 5 pin xlr male connector? How do I solder the 5 pin xlr female to a 3 pin xlr male connector? I use balanced wire (+/-, earth) This microphone doesn't need power because it is a dynamic one. Strange that they use a 5 pin xlr?

I suppose you mean a small Tuchel female to an XLR-male? Just search on ebay. They're rather expensive (except in Germany).
