Performing musician of 15+ years decides to go for the big PA.
Musician mind you, not sound engineer. BIG difference.
Just need some help here. LOL

Ok, first of all, is the "Alto Terminator" Feedback Eliminator really going to help me with onstage feedback?
How much feedback might come from the front of house?
What is the placement of the eliminator in the chain of FX?

Secondly, is the Alesis Midiverb4 still considered a good effects unit for drums and vocals?

In fact, I have several questions about live sound, so if anyone could help, I would greatly appreciate it.

Here's my deal with the feedback destroyer. I teach kids theater sound and they run the shows. I keep a feedback destroyer in the chain as a precaution. So there you go. There's nothing a feedback destroyer can do that an graphic EQ can't. And with a graphic EQ, there's a brain and ears running it rather than a computer. You'll sound much better if you just EQ. I don't know your preformance situation, but if you can, get someone with some knowledge on the board. Find a kid who knows something who'll work for peanuts, trust me there's a few of us out there. Know if you know nothing and are completely hopeless and have no engineer and don't care a whole lot for quality, go ahead and use the destroyer. Those are my feelings.
