Here's my deal with the feedback destroyer. I teach kids theater sound and they run the shows. I keep a feedback destroyer in the chain as a precaution. So there you go. There's nothing a feedback destroyer can do that an graphic EQ can't. And with a graphic EQ, there's a brain and ears running it rather than a computer. You'll sound much better if you just EQ. I don't know your preformance situation, but if you can, get someone with some knowledge on the board. Find a kid who knows something who'll work for peanuts, trust me there's a few of us out there. Know if you know nothing and are completely hopeless and have no engineer and don't care a whole lot for quality, go ahead and use the destroyer. Those are my feelings.

Well I know a bit. Just enough to make us sound pretty good, or, destroy many ears. LOL

I will run from stage on occasion. I have good EQ so far.

I have a Sabine feedback box, never used it, friend picked up two thru his audio.video workplace for cheap and i grabbed one incase...

here's an audio review link, may be cheaper alternative to brand you mentioned, and reviewer seems to think it does the job

Sabine gear is great....... Alto sucks bigtime. Possibly even worse than Behringer....if that's possible. Their compressors are anyways.
