Hi people !
Nice to be here !
I got a new Fireface 800 !
according to a sketch I saw (a while ago) for no-latency monitoring I should split my input signal from after the preamp - (1) to the mixer (and from there to monitoring) AND (2) to the soundcard. with the ff800 I will use its preamps (of course)... so - is sending this signal before any process to monitoring is as easy as asigning it to ANOTHER OUT which will be sent pre-mixed ?
I hope I'm not mixing totally different issues here...
thanks for any idea,
Oren.

To me, it seems like a hassle splitting and sending a signal to two sources.
I'd simply input into the fireface, and route the signal (internally via TotalMix) to an output and from there go into your outboard mixer/monitor.
Either way, you should be able to achieve no-latency monitoring.
If you are using the fireface in stand-alone mode, from what I've read in the documentation this should still be possible, though I've no hands on experience settting that up.
