Hi guys,

last few months I started to recording bass lines to different kind of music styles. with recording to rock, jazz, funk there is no problem at all, depends on your effects, but when I started to fill up house or down temps, where the bass line takes more then 4 seconds, the bass line start to change the tone after a 2 - 3 seconds. have you got any idea what should be the problem? the apmflier? the bass guitar? cheers

Do you mean that your bass tone is changing as you play? and you hear the tone change within a 4 second period? I could understand if you started with brand new strings and were playing for like 5 hours straight in a hot sweaty humid smokey night club. Sure, the sound of the bass would be different from what it was when you started...but over a 4 second period?

How drastically does it change? Can you supply any audio examples?

so I didn´t think that the bass strings start to change the tone after 4 seconds playing, but..... if I play a long note, a long sound, forexample a long C, the first 2-3 seconds are absoluthly C, but on 4 second it starts to play something between C-Cis, after 5 second its jump on Cis at all, and its in normal home recording. I have only bass ampflier and no effect for recording, do you mean it could be the problem?? cheers

otillio wrote: yes, exactly. and dear Mad Tiger 3000, I try the buy a different strings, use ´em for a week two, and they did it from the beginning, its disaster, do you thing its may be the cheap guitar? or the ampflier??

Could be the guitar.

If so, it would be the most horrible bass I ever played (26 years experience).

It is generally a string's metal "fatiguing," and making it "false." It won't hold pitch.

If your BASS can't hold pitch, that would horrendous.
