I have an opertunity to purchase a d50 for 300usd with case. it apears to be in excellent shape. i have not had a chance to play it yet. my questions is can i plug it directly into my comp.? i have only a sound blaster live card on my system but plan to expand.

Well as with anything with two or one outputs you can plug it directly if you have the right cabels.
Stereo: 2x 1/4inch phone connectors -> one 3,5mm TRS phone connector(looks like a insert cable with the TRS as an small 3,5mm connector)
Mono: Same as above but with only one 1/4inch phone connector and one mono 3,5mm connector in the other end!
