Roland has never been the leader in professional electronic drums. Without getting into an argument, the ddrum4 is a much better choice as the Roland TD-10 sounds like plastic as does most current Roland gear.
Having owned the V-drums with TD-10, ddrum AT, ddrum3 and for the past few years a ddrum4. All used extensively in the studio and on stage.
The ddrum3 was the best of them all but it didn't have a hihat controller.
