Searching through the "audiophile" websites looking for a DIY tube amp kit to build.
We all know the audiophile types find all sorts of bizarre stuff to spend money on. check this out:

This device "breaks-in" your cables so they work better. Even if this actually worked, wouldn't it make more sense to just plug your new cable into an old HP200 oscillator? The product claims that it works by putting some extra high level signals down the cable; the old HP units put out more juice than a small generator. And they cost $85 at garage sales, not $650!

Good grief. These guys will swallow anything...I remember in my late teen years I subscribed to Stereophile. They'd have some pretty wacky stuff in there like green CD edge markers and this stupid LED alarm clock "specially treated!" with a huge AC cable that was purported to clean up the power going to your system, just by plugging it into the same outlet. Tice Audio was the name if I remember correctly...and this clock sold for about $1000.

No wonder some folks I know call them 'audiophools'....
