I am searching for some inexpensive Persian rugs in Canada for a new studio I am putting together. Any advise on where I can get some nice ones near Hamilton with lots of red and gold would be very helpful.
Thanks

In response to the question, Alexanian's is a well established carpet dealer who might be able to help you. They have a shop down on King St. You could also try calling Brant S., he always seems to have a friend who has a friend.
Best of luck. Doc.

I chewed through the syllablelaic restraints, tunnelled through an old post, tied some

devils advocate wall.

If he is from there, then logic asks why doesn't he already know of such places or friends or family that live there? Also, there are many Persian Rug stores right here in LA near the Beverly center. Remember the date today.

I have met a lot of terrific carpet salesmen, but most of them were in Istanbul. If I remember correctly they even had special studio carpets, with tube technology to give them that warm sixties sound.
What's so important about today's date? And why is it so unreasonable to think that a hugely successful, internationally renowned producer would register under his real name at a recording website to find carpets? Wasn't there a thread last week about which carpet/mic/mic pre combination for under $200 will get you that classic punchy sound with lots of airy highs and warm, crunchy mids and a bottom end that just won't quit? Have some faith! Doc.
BTW If it really is Mr. Lanois none of us ain't gonna be eating lunch in this town again.

I don't believe that someone of Mr. Lanois stature and resources would be wondering about where to find textiles in his home town. Especially as a first and only post.
Also, it was probably an April FOOLS joke by someone else, hence the date comment by me.
Mr. Candlish, what is it do you find so pitiful?

Well, if it were actually DL, he either does not have experience with BBS, or doesn't have the courtesy to reply to all the helpful folks here (this poster not included).
OR, it is a HOAX, which is what I believe DL to be.
