Damn Allen,

The Eq sounds amazing.....
You can really crank the highs and get that nice glassy sound! :) :) ;) :p
The L2 Blew me away aswell.......much more transperant than the L1...
I never used to use the L1 but i'll definately use the L2...it actually sounded like the drums
had more attack as i lowered the threshold....
Amazing stuff......
I'm still yet to really play with the "C5" but all in all....
Great stuff! :tu: :tu:

p.s one disappointment;
what's with the HUGE latency....it totally put the drums outta
time to everything else so i had to audiosuite the eq's to avoid that.....basically unusable as realtime plugs.....plus the eq's are HUGE cpu hogs aswell......but DAMN they sound good!

So try advancing the tracks you desire to process by the # of samples of latency and *poof* it's usable in real time.

Between the Sony R3EQ and these pups DAW world is lookin like a friendlier place these days... :D

Greg,

That's what i've been doing......pushing the tracks 61 milliseconds ahead,
But on a 1.3ghz Athlon you can only run 5 or 6 eq's before it max's out!!
I normally run around 30 plugs (all waves or bombfactory) so going down to 5 is disappointing
but again......who cares when they sound that good; and there is always audiosuite ;)

Silver,
I'm not on Waves payroll, but I do some things for them on the side, like beat the heck out of there new plugins and try to find bugs. Let me know if you come across any bugs so that I can get them into the programmers. Optimization of plugins is something that Waves is always working on. Also let me know if you have any suggestions.
Enjoy,
Allen

Allen,

One question about the eq......
The second band that defaults at around 258hz(i think) doesn't go any lower and when you try to set it higher it can't be used between 258 and around 350 hz (again roughly).
I don't think this is a bug but was just wondering.....is it to do with the linear phase/delay thing or what????
One suggestion i can think of right now is maybe a phase reverse button on the eq....(even the old ren. eq's don't have it).... i know they're intended for mastering but i can't resist those sweet highs and tight bottom end! :)

One bug i have discovered so far is if you use a C1/gate before the LinEq.... protools complains that the cpu go bye bye and wont play back!.......even if those 2 plugs are the only ones inserted......?

Cheers, S1LVER
