Hi y'all--

I'm finishing putting together a new HD2 Accel system w/ the following:
Pendulum Quartet
BM6A monitors

90% of my analog recording consists of running a bass and guitar(s) direct into a pre (with the guitars then going into Amp Farm or other modeler), and live vocals. I don't record live drums or mic'd amped guitars. Occasionally, I'll record an acoustic guitar or sax.

So taking all that into consideration, are the Digi converters enough, or will an outside converter make a visibly noticeable difference?

Thanks again!

Yes & no. That would really depend on which converters your talking about and your ability to hear any difference. I'd bet there are dozens more things that you likely need or need to resolve before you worry about the quality of the HD converters.
