I don't know or care to know anything about the TL Audio stuff but the Groove Tube CL1s is great a compressor.
Use it anywhere you like the sound of a tube/opticle compressor. I find that it does have a knack for pumping easier than a lot of other comps and I'm not a fan of it for program material but for tracking and inserts it's great on vocals, bass, rock guitar.
