This really piosses me off. I got a ton of files in 98 that I converted to .qic
XP says NO..you cannot do that.
Those files will only be good if I trash XP and go back to 98, burn a ceedee and then reinstall XP requiring a visit from Microsoft for new approval.
Anyotherway?

In win 98 it is hard drive backup compression. Quick, simple and neatly arranged. Nice compression. I used it mainly for my airplane collection in combat flight simulator but I also had tons of samples recorded live for later use, nature sounds, well all told with the compression , about 90gigs worth. Xp does not recognize it and I tried to download an install a file converter and was routed to the XP help menu saying it is a violation of law to cop programs..etc.. Most of the files are mine!! (except airplanes, gauges..etc..)
Bummerooo
