I've never experienced this problem before but while live, and after recording, I get sort of a crackling sound with the vocals.

I'm using Avid M-Audio mini (with a cardioid condenser mic) with garageband. I'm thinking maybe I damaged the mic while transporting it but I didn't drop it or anything
