I was thinking of updating the memory on my powerbook. I have 1.5 gig. Is it worth to go from 1.5 to 2 gig?

If your system isn't using all that RAM, it will make absolutely no difference. Not even a bit. The only time it becomes a performance increasing factor is if your projects are causing your computer to use pagefile (physical RAM, hard-disk based) when it would normally use RAM. If this isn't happening, extra RAM won't give you a boost.
Even going from 512 to 1GB, which IS a much-needed boost, I haven't noticed all that much of a difference.
