Hi guys.
I have a soundcard M-Audio 1010LT. My mixer's output are at +4db. Should I put all inputs at +4dBu on my M-Audio Control Panel ?
Also, any particular care for the inputs 1 and 2 on the 1010LT ? I know that these XLR inputs have preamps, so to my understanding they provide phantom power. It it safe to input directly from the mixer ?
Thanks !

a 1 to 1 line transformer will protect the input chips of the mixer
(you could load and pad the 1 to 1 and then add gain with the next stage to create tonal differences)
might even make it sound better / more goodly

I don't think they provide phantom power, so you should be fine. But if anything catches fire, turn it off quickly.
