Im researching to compare and contrast old and new mixing desks, and am interested in finding out who has used the Mackie DXB to compare their sound with older recordings.

I'm pretty sure Gary Numan has used the DFX series on his last 2 albums and actually uses the built-in effects. Does the mixing himself too, according to the interview.
