If you were to go through direct box's they would be plugged into mic pre's. You could also simply run the Tritons line outs to line inputs on your converters or recorders inputs but you may not be able to get enough gain. If that is the case you can use the Direct box approach...
A lot will depend on the specific sound itself. I've had quite a bit of luck running keyboard sounds (organs, electric pianos, clavinets, etc.) through a speaker and micing it. Strings I just DI dry right to tape/disk. Horns seem to need a pre of some kind.
