Does anyone know what reverb Led Zep used on the guitar on Gallows Pole? I know they used the Stones mobile recording truck but would be interested to know what unit they used. Cheer
This album was mixed @ Ardent Studios in Memphis and was released in Oct 1970.. Ardent at the time reportedly had built their second console with Audiotronics modules through consulting with Tom Dowd. They also had EMT plates. This was before they moved to their larger room where they are still in business.
I would say your reverbs on that song come from the EMT plates and perhaps something else that may have been available at that time in that studio. There's certainly no digital emulations of anything.
