Highly reguarded and considered a high quality unit that is clean, detailed and closer to a straight wire path than most other preamps. That also makes it rather bland and boring for many that are looking for something more musical or for something with flavor and color.

These are truly bitchin..As a DI, OUTSTANDING!.Acoustic instruments fare very well through these pres.As Gaff said they are your 'straight wire' variety of mic pre...what goes in comes out amplified not added to.Its not Neve.Its not API.Its not Chandler.Its darn close to the Grace stuff, but IMO it sounds better.The build is tanklike and its a beautiful Red patina!Actually the phase monitoring and the MS LED's make it easy to use as a dual mic pre...I love em.
