Greetings all.
This is my first post, and I'd like your opinions regarding my specific desires with recording from internet radio.

I've been recording using Super Mp3 REcorder 3.0, which is probably under your technical radar, but it's a very basic program that records whatever comes over my computer speakers (sorry, don't know a better way to put that).
The problem is that when I'm recording from broadcasts, there is no way to separate songs into individual files without replaying the recording, and starting and stopping another window in the program when a song begins and ends. It is a MAJOR time drain.
So . . . is there any program that will allow me to insert marks as I'm recording so that I can identify beginning and ends of songs and then cut the recording at these marks to create individual files? Alternatively is there a program that will allow me to look for zero levels so that I can Identify song breaks, and then cut up the file? Or is there some better way of doing this I don't know about?

Thanks for any help with this basic stuff. By the way, I'd rather not buy an elaborate recording program if I can help it.

Matt.
