I want to own giga, but this group has a tempting package, as a source for libraries for the giga, these folks are offering an interesting tangent for me to consider, potentially enabling me to "help myself" now,if this would do for my needs... and I'm wondering if its sporting any illusions for the novice giga-buyer..
Or as for the experienced DAW buyer(or not).. anyone care to comment? see, I am closer as time passes to try it, at some risk, I just want opinions about --- well I think its negligible risk, actually a value as long as I understand to do a large orchestra sound with this unlike with giga, I would need to double my 512 ram I now have, which couldn't be a bad move in almost any case,I would think. .
I am in the middle of deciding not to get a Trident or some such hardware based upgrade, in favor of the giga type solution. i know the streaming from disk as giga does is a vastly advantageous system for the users of much polyphony, I mean way much polyphony, which I stop short there somewhere, as a solo would do. If Kontakt is such as dreadful hog of ram as its impractical even for basic needs, using 512, maybe I'd best avoid this 249$ offer.
but all thoughts on the matter are certainly appreciated.

Anyway, I usually don't like this sort of thing. I think by automating everything, you drain the richness out of the music. But, I have to admit I was somewhat impressed by their examples. It couldn't be mistaken for a real orchestra, but if you need to arrange a sound track on a cheap budget I would recommend it.
I don't know what GIGA is, so i can't help you there.
