Hi everyone.
I'm a Digital Performer 3.02 user. I have read that the latest version (4.1) supports Audio Units compatible Plugins .
I'm very interested in trying out the Performance Tool found in the Vienna Symphonic Library. This sample library is Gigasampler and EXS24 compatible. But how to use it along with Performer?
In theory, I could use MOTU's Mach Five to convert the programs from the sample library from Giga, EXS, or almost any other format. But the Performance Tool is a very specific utility that'll only work with the before mentioned formats.
SO, I was wondering if the EXS 24 mk II, from Emagic (now owned by Apple) will suport Audio Units technology and will be compatible with DP 4.1, thus making the Performance Tool available within Performer's digital domain?
What do you think? Or perhaps this is just too philosophical a subject...
Thanks,
regards--

I own DP4 and Logic Audio6. You are out of luck with the EXS24mk
I own DP4 and Logic Audio6. You are out of luck with the EXS24mkII, it's part of the source code of Logic.
There is an EXSP24 AU but it currently causes DP4.12 to crash.
Probably the best option for you, is the Mach5 distributed by MOTU. It reads EXS format, and comes as a MAS, and AU plug.
