Hey! I just joined the forum a few minutes ago!

Anways, I am having some difficulties recording. The reasoning could either be that I am too much of a perfectionist when it comes to recording music, or it could be that my "studio" is not setup right. All of my recording equiptment is in my bedroom (not the perfect place for acoustics, sound proofing, etc.) which is located on the second level of my house. There are two windows; if that is important information.

I am recording with a BOSS BR-1180 CD with a NADY TCM 1050 Tube Microphone. When I record, I place the microphone as far away as possible from the recording device, but I still get large amounts of a "hiss" type noise. The microphone picks up everything... including small signals from the television downstairs.

Hopefully somebody has a few ideas for me.

Thanks,
Nick
