I know what u mean. I've given up on the XD, it only goes up to 48kHz and they are still asking top dollar for it. Yamaha just seems to get a bigger share of the digital market every day. I'm looking at the Yamaha 01V96 for my next mixer to go with my PT HD (I mix in the box). Just need a control surface with some extra goodies.

I originally had my eye on the 328, but I'm seriously looking into the Tascam DM24 with Motu 2408MK3 right now.

I've just borrowed a 01V96 from my supplier over the weekend. There's also a write-up in SOS mag.
This desk is CHEAP...but I will find out how good the sound is shortly. It's worth the money just for the control surface function, 16 faders at a time for example. If the pres/converters sound like the DM1000 I'm in.

I was also looking at the 01v96, but I'm leaning torwards the DM24 mainly because of the monitor/talkback section as well as the transport controls.

Well the 01V96 pres and converters don't sound that good so I'll keep looking.
