Yes, I am using analog
But the 24 track recorder is a Mackie SDR 24/96 has midi in/out, and digital ins/outs, along with a word clock I/O and SMPTE.
Will the D4 work with my the Triton? Or does the D4 have drums samples in it? I would MUCH rather use my Korg Triton's drum sounds rather than....
...Well the whole durn point of me getting this keyboard was to someday use the drums samples.
I get good drums recordings anyhow, it's just that I want to add that sample to another track, so the drummers will go goo goo gaa gaa :P

entering the world of midi is as difficult as recording a drum kit well
I grew up with midi and with DOS and with keyboards and analog recording ... so this all makes sense to me

the D4 can be setup to trigger from a split of your kick track and the midi can be sent to the Triton ... all in real time just as if it where a ... reverb or delay unit

That is why I waited soooo long to get into MIDI. Before I never needed it.
