I am currently recording on a Fostex MR-8HD and transferring my (rather large) .wav files to my computer and ACID Music 3.0 (I know it's old!) for mixing, EQing, etc.
Obviously, I need to upgrade my software. I will continue to use the MR-8HD to record and transfer as this is most cost-efficient for me at this time, so I don't need "recording" software. BUT I need something good for mixing, EQing, adding FX, etc. I am also going to purchase an external HD for added storage space.
What softwares would you suggest. I run Windows XP on my computer. Oh, another stipulation...only suggest softwares UNDER $150. Thanks and God bless.
