We are currently adding a few pieces of gear to our studio. We currently have 2 Tascam DM24's and 2 Alesis HD24's. These are all synced to one of the Dm24's acting as the master clock. Would we notice much of a difference in audio quality buy getting a external clock generator like the Big Ben?

i think the big difference is the highs though..... less like a 1984 cd player!!

It will only make a difference if you end up with a better clock. Which will depend on the connections, the cables the distribution amplifiers and how the Tascam and Alesis lock to external clock. If they regenerate the clock and lock with a low pass filter than there will be little if any difference.
Don't buy one unless you can take it back just in case.
Kurts observation is interesting because I notice it mainly in the accuracy of the stereo image.

I did notice the difference in the bottom end. The bass is definitely tighter with apogee clock than from my motu 828. That jumped out at us right away. The stereo image I haven't really paid attention to, but I will now! The mixes do have a better definition with the apogee rosetta clock.
