I just sold the Yamaha Motif XF-8 I’ve had since 2012. I loved that keyboard, but, heavy as hell. It was never going to see a stage. So..,
Today the new king of my studio will arrive.

It didn’t turn up today... store stuffed up.. coming Monday now... anyhow. Going to be a big learning curve, and then hopefully get out and gig with it!. I love that they’ve made it backwards compatible with the Motif stuff.. but, I’m not really tied to anything I was using as it was all stock presets.
I can say fairly safely say the montage will equal and overtake anything I had in the motif from my initial listens leading up to choosing it.

yamaha makes awesome everything. the motif is one of the best sounding keyboards ive ever worked with. congrats on your new purchase, i'd wager you wont be disappointed sir! its cool they added tight integration with the DAW, which was the motifs weak point.
