i hate the snare. the vocal is pitchy too. i can't get past that to make any other observations. i wouldn't even try to fix it. just scrap it and try again

You'll get more responses if you post your audio here as part of your post. Select "upload a file" at the bottom right section of your post, upload the song file ( MP3) and the song will then appear along with your post.

If you really do want critiques, you want to make it as easy as possible for people to listen to, and sending them to an outside website isn't the easiest way for them to do that.

I'm surprised that Kurt actually did it. ;)

wonk! wonk! wonk! it's obnoxious and doesn't do anything for the song. it's typical for a drummer to like snares like that. it turns the song into all about the drums ...

I agree the stereo flanger on the snare is very disturbing. The electric guitar seems to be recorded out of the distortion pedal instead of with an amp.
Yep pitchy vocal also ruin the pleasure, speacially at the end

Now, you've done a very twisted thing when posting a song that is already on sale. When I look at it I just see someone trying to have hits on his page...
If you call for comments to help you, do it while the song is not out in the world and get better at what you do..

big muff.

I haven't been to this site in quite some time, and didn't realize there was an option to upload a file to a post. I don't intend for this song to make money, and bandcamp is just a free place to host music. I through it up there because I'm not really intending to go back and rework this one anyway, but to utilize the comments here for my next project.

i'm not sure it's flanging i hate so much but the high tuning . i'm an old fart ... i like snares tuned deep and fat not high and thin.

It's a 14x4 DW maple. It's tuned medium for that particular drum.

it's your song, tune the snare how you like. i don't like hi tuned snares .... what i like would be more like the snare on the song, "Captain Fantastic" by Elton John.
