I'm wondering if there's a person or a place that i could get some drum tracks from? i dont have a drummer, or a way to record drums for that matter, and when i try to sequence them with midi they just sound fake. id really love some realistic drum tracks that i could build songs around. does anyone have any tips? maybe drum tracks arent my answer, is there another way to create very realistic sounding drums? any help would be great. thanks so much!

thanks for the help to both of you. i have checked out the drum track site that runs the banner on here, but i was hoping to find something thats free. ill keep searching for loops that will work for my projects. i was a little skeptical, just because the music that i will be using them for is mainly rock, where the drums are usually quite varied throughout the song, rather than the same thing looped over and over. but im sure with lots of searching, work, and experience, ill be able to create some stuff that im happy with. thanks again for the help.

Do any of you know of any online sites with sounds that you can preview before you buy them? I've found some in the past but didn't bookmark and now I need sounds and don't know where to go. I know there are quite a few out there, but does anyone know of some quality sites?
Thanks

Hey Fade,
Don't know if you are still looking but you can grab free samples from my site. The rock collection has 6 variations per beat so it may be what you're looking for.
We've also posted some free 8-bar jam tracks at http:// - look at the right side for "Free Loops." We'll be posting more exclusive content there each month.

There are tons of loop CDs available ... there are also people who do this for a fee .. one of them even runs a banner ad here .. I don't know how good it is but it's there, for what that's worth ...
Sometimes midi sequences / drum machines can sound very good. It's all in the programming .. You would be surprised how much of the drums on commercial records is at the very least , hit replacmemnt samples.. keep plugging away at it ..
