Welcome back to the real world llornkcor2!!! We missed ya! BTW, since you've been gone, things have changed just a teensy bit:

1) All music must now be recorded backwards (you can play it forwards no problem, it is just the recording part that has changed).
2) All linux boxes within 5 miles of a recording studio must be destroyed.
3) There are no more 1/8 notes, you must skip from 1/4 to 1/16, however dotted 1/16 notes are allowed, but only if necessary.
4) Rap and Hip Hop are now outlawed, and Eminem has a bounty on his head, right below Osama Bin Laden.
5) Country music (?) is also outlawed except for Ford Truck commercials (the punishment here is so severe that it deserved its own rule).
6) Only one midi file per song, and no quantizing allowed.
7) Any royalties earned from music creation, production, and marketing must be forwarded to "Double Helix" at this address.
8) When in doubt about any of this, see rule number 7 above.

no i don't have any contacts i can offer to you. wish i did. when i'm ready to send out a demo i'll just start calling all the publisher's in town and see who is accepting unsolicited
material. it's a frustrating process but what the hell.

Thanks for the reply... I initiated a letter campaign a few months ago with no success. Perhaps I can save you some time and energy and tell you who isn't accepting unsolicited material. These are the ones who returned my letters marked "Unsolicited Material not accepted....
Warner Songs, Acuff Rose, Ploygram, Chrysalis Music Group, Fortune Music Group, BMG Songs, Music Alley. I found it to be disappointing but the only way to do this is to keep slugging. I don't know of anyone who has found success in the industry without first suffering some rejection. Keep trying……….. Fats

Yep. This is a business that is full of rejection If you get your feelings hurt easily you need to find something else to do. I think one of the reasons that publishers are so reticent to accept unsolicited material is the need to minimize their exposure to future lawsuits. That's why the only way to get to them hear your stuff anymore is through an attorney. ………… Fats
