Budget aside, I have always been a Bryston user. Bryston 2b or 3b are older models I would choose and you can often find them used. They are build to last. New versions would be choice but they aren't cheap.

Haffler's are good.

I've used half a dozen different haflers just fine. I'm not sure of the models. New caps if it needs it will do wonders on an amp of that vintage.
