Here's one for DonnyThompson. I know your mix is not finished yet but I was playing with the file and one thing led to another. Here's a preliminary master:
You can tell the file has been through a few mp3 conversions though.

I actually cut some of the low end but brought up the sub frequencies after compression/limiting ..the compression/limiting really blew the bass up big! The mix was fine, it was my processing that made me have to tame the low end a bit. I think the sub frequencies sound pretty nice if your system can reproduce them. I guess we may hear what others have to say about that.
Yea, I can master the wave file if you like, but don't you have more instruments you need to add to your mix?

How is the overall low end on this sound to you, Chuck? Can you
How is the overall low end on this sound to you, Chuck? Can you tell me what you are hearing, and what you are monitoring through?
I'm primarily using Alesis Monitor 1's, ( w/ a 6.5" speaker, 1" tweet). I'm also in a room with quite a bit of bass trapping and BB absorption)
To me, on my system, this sounds a little shy on the low end ( the warm, round lower end "body")... but I don't know if this is maybe due to my room or my nearfields...
I'm just wondering what you are hearing on your end, it may be that my monitors aren't able to optimally reproduce those sub frequencies...
Although I will say - mp3 conversional fidelity loss aside - that this sounds "tighter" to me... more defined, very nice clarity.
Thanks a bunch for doing this, by the way. It was cool of you to work on this without being asked. ;)
(Let me know if you'd like a .wav of this to work with)
