The key in any DAW setup is to avoid conversion of signals. analog to digital, digital to analog, sample rate conversion, and bit depth conversion are the key factors that degrade digital audio signals.

convert once and record to disk. whether its your tango, ADI or DM24.

I'd recommend you use the RME or Tango converters. Is there a reason you have so many converters? Do you need the mixer?

It really depends on what you're recording tho.

I really like the summing of a console.I think the sound has more clarity and punch.Anyway I would like to go into the converters analog for use with different pre amps Avalon Presonus ect***Into 3 converter pieces {bank[A] bank{ b }bank[ c }and out of the converters to the soundcard and out to the console via 3 dm24 light pipe cards. The problem I am having is say I plug a Bass into channel one of bank {A]With this setup i can't hear monitor back through the console it seems to me the clocking is confused any other takers for solving the problem?
