Hey all!
Just a quick question. I had recorded multiple jams of up to about 10 to 15 min each. All at various tempo's in the same session. OK, now. I then wanted to break up all the jams into separate sessions. I tried simply deleting what I did not want and then used save as.. and just renamed. But in this last one the jam session was way down the time line. Like over 30 min, I'm thinking more like 40, and there were allot to tempo changes inserted. So after I deleted everything and placed the midi file at the session start, the click is right but the midi file (it's a piano part) is an 8th note fast. It's supposed to be 1/4 notes and it's playing at 1/8ths.
Any ideas on how to change it back? Or maybe a way to do this better?
I was thinking to change the midi data to 1/4 notes with beat detective instead of having to either rerecord-or move all the notes on beat individually (most suckage there...) ? Don't know how to use beat detective though.

Yeah it's the whole file that's wrong, what I mean by that is the whole session is at the same tempo. I did delete all tempo marker, regular marker's and audio region's. To look at it, the whole session is totally blank.
But apparently at some point the midi information some how got compressed, is my guess.

Ok,
Now I can see that it seems the grid was also resized as well. When I used the TCE trimmer I was able to stretch it out, BUT, after about the first bar or so it starts going out of whack again. And the farther we go in the time line the more exaggerated it becomes. I don't know what else to do but manually put all the notes on beat......suks but what you gonna do?

When you're deleting are you also hi-lighting the tempo track? THis keeps everything together.
Looks like something went wrong somewhere.
Is the tempo wacked for the entire performance or just the beginning?
What happens if you undo, and put everything back down the timeline where it was? Does it play normal?
Do you have a back up?
If what you're saying is that the song is playing back twice as fast then I guess the last resort is to edit each tempo to be half.
