I by the RME Fireface 800 last week, I compare the sound of the preamp with the Sebatron VMP 2000e and I return the Fireface I dont like the sound of the preamp, for about the same price I by 2 AT 4041 mic and a TL Audio Ivory 5001, 4 tube preamps, sound good in the store.
Yesterday night I plug one AT4041 in the Sebatron an one in the TL 5001, I play nylon guitar and once again Sebatron was my favorite preamp, fuller and smouther sound, more presence.
This weekend I record a choir, I used AT 4041 or AT 4033 in the the Sebatron for the choir and TL5001 for the 4 solist, I like omni mic for the choir but my budget dont give me the possibility to by eartworks or Neumann.
