OK...I know someone is going to try and convince me that it is unnecessary, but here goes anyway...
Later this summer, I plan on "upgrading" my Cubase/32 to either Nuendo or Cubase SX, along with the VST System link to my current PIII 1GHz. I have been watching all the ANUS computer posts going around with the P4 1.6a chip, and all the great results that everyone is getting, but...
I am considering looking at a dual-processor system...first off, is it worth it? And secondly, has Intel got their head out of their ass and created a chip set that will work with dual processors yet? Can I go dual P4's, or only the dual PIII's?
Thanks! :)
Well...right now all there is for Dual P4's is the Dual Xeon pro
Well...right now all there is for Dual P4's is the Dual Xeon processors only. Not sure what development is being made for the P4 Socket 478 chips yet.
I am looking into it as well..
As far as the whole Dual vs Single goes..it's a toss up..you get some performance boosts indeed but along with that is the possibility of something going awry with drivers and or setup issues...A single fast CPU will sufice for what you are doing
