I built my ANUS a couple of weeks ago - P4B266/1.6a - installed Partition Magic, moved some partitions, and had my stystem lock-up. It went into the usualy "Windows Startup Menu" where you select "Normal", "SafeMode", etc. I've since reinstalled Windows 98, and the same Startup screen keeps coming up, although everything boots just fine. It works, but it's slightly annoying. Anyone know which file to modify to get windows to start going to the startup menu? I just installed Norton Tools, but I haven't taken the time to figure out how to get it to check it out. Any Help from you fellow ANUSes would be greatly appreciated. Ciao. JT

What happens if you do a normal install without the Partition Magic? Does it start up fine? If so you know it's something that partition magic does to the Boot.ini file found on the C:drive...
Open that up using Notepad and see if it added an ebtry into it that is screwing it up

Well, there's your first mistake! I am not one to reccomend that at all..I dont like moving boot sectors around..it always goes corrupt at some point and it's one hell of a time fixing it usually
Double Whammy!
