Many solo artists went on stage with just a sequencer and a soundcanvas for a few decade. Thing is, this might have participated in the degradation of the full band scenary. Many bars realised they could sell beer without paying a whole band. Eventually solo artists were becoming too expensive and they turned to karaoke. And now, I see many signer contest around town ; Another gimmick to sell alcool and not pay artists who need to bring their own croud and hope higher vote counts..
25 years ago there was more than 15 places for amateur and semi pro to perform around here and now 3.

Man I loved the 80's. Its was the decade for so much innovation in MIDI and electronic music equipment. I looked at similar designs, maybe it was this. Great decade.
